Eighteenth-century underwear pouch in cannetè cotton damask, lined in raw cotton, picket and stiffened with closure on both front and back to allow greater adaptability. The degree of finishes is such as to allow their use without the dress for picnics or in the event of re-enactment, by women of the less well-off classes
